SHTM participates in DOT R3’s ‘Mangan Na’

The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM) joins the Department of Tourism Region III’s (DOT R 3)“Mangan Na” Food and Travel Festival on December 7 to 9 at the Marquee Mall, Angeles City.

The event was designed to create awareness and interest on Filipino cuisine and Farm Tourism sites. It was a celebration of Philippine culture and tradition with the end view of promoting the country as a center of food and gastronomy. The event was simultaneously held at Abreeza Mall in Davao and Serin Mall in Tagaytay. SHTM faculty members and staff, particularly Chef Amel Jocson, Mr. Arnel Kann Santos, Mr. Jonathan Sison, participated the event through a cooking demonstration during the event’s second day featuring the dish “Adobong Ema”, which is a combination of pork belly, mud crab meat and fat, cooked in traditional adobo sauce.
